Mika: Welcome Jacqueline! Do you go by Jacqueline or Jackie?
Jacqueline: (Smiles) Hello Mika. It’s good to be here. You can call me Jackie.
Mika: Alright. I’m going to ask you a few questions in hope your fans get to know your character better. If there’s anything that’s off the table, let me know.
Jackie: (Chuckles) I can be a bit guarded, but I will try to be as forthcoming as possible.
Mika: Sounds fair. Let’s get started.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Jackie: My fourteen year-old twins, Grace and Eden, are my greatest achievement. I can’t imagine life without them. Our relationship has been strained since their father and I divorced.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Jackie: To be perfectly happy one needs love, laughter, family, friends, and good health. Wouldn’t it be fabulous to have them all simultaneously?
Do you have any secrets you want to share that were not revealed in Because of Jacqueline?
Jackie: No. Typically, I tend to keep my secrets buried. When I first met Marc (my hero) online, the anonymity of communicating only through emails and phone calls allowed me to be much more open with him.
Do you have any siblings? If so, will we have an opportunity to get to know them better?
Jackie: I have a brother, Lee. We share an important history. In the sequel Cynthia Pomranz is currently writing about my best friend, Trish, readers will get a chance to learn more about Lee.
Mika: I’m so glad to hear Trish will get her own happily ever after.
Jackie: You read Because of Jacqueline?
Mika: (Nods) I loved it.
Anything you have liked done differently by the author?
Jackie: No. I’m pleased because on a couple occasions I shared with her that my character wanted to do something different and she listened. I also told her it was important to add another love/sex scene at a particular point in the story to move the plot forward and she agreed!
Any particular scene you enjoyed the most?
Jackie: The scene where March shows me the Chinese Nine technique…quite enjoyable!
Is your hero a good kisser?
Jackie: Yes! I confessed to Trish afterward that I was completely lost in his kiss and if he would have started ripping my clothes off, I wouldn’t have been able to stop him.
When did you know you were in love with your hero?
Jackie: The first time I admitted it to myself was when Marc finally trusted me enough to let his guard down.
Did your story end too soon?
Jackie: No. Readers will be pleased with Jackie and Marc’s happily ever after, and they will get to see more of us in the sequel. I know my character is planning to visit Trish in New York because she is having man trouble.
What is your greatest fear?
Jackie: My greatest fear has always been not being good enough, because I grew up with a father who told me so on a regular basis. I’ve always tried to be a perfectionist to avoid feelings of doubt and anxiety.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Jackie: I have a killer lingerie collection. Some women collect handbags or shoes. I like to have the perfect under things to wear.
Where would you like to live?
Jackie: I currently live in St. Louis in Because of Jacqueline and I can’t think of any other place I’d rather be right now. The “Gateway to the West” has good schools, fabulous parks, delicious restaurants, and of course, the Cardinals! I also love the mountains and the ocean, so who knows where I might end up.
Because of Jacqueline is now available for reading.
